Kofte (Turkish Meat Patty)

Cooking meat products and controlling heat are mostly learned through experience. This recipe have too many things that gives taste so might not be starter friendly

Ingredients

  • 500 gr minced meat
  • 1/2 cup galeta flour or 1 cup stale bread crumbs
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  • 2 mid size egg
  • 1 small size onion or 1/2 mid size onion
  • 3-4 parsley branches

Steps

  • chop parsey as thin as possible, grate onion
  • whisk eggs salt pepper
  • add flour/crumbs, meat, parsley, and onion
  • mix all ingredients by hand or fork
  • if the mixture is too sticky/watery add more galeta/bread crumbs
  • heat and oil a pan on medium-high heat
  • take wallnut sized parts from mix and turn into oval shapes
  • cook on one side ~2mins until it gets brown on the sides and turn them
  • cook for ~3mins and turn again and wait until done to your taste
